Why Pet of the Day?
Whether you do not have any
pets or your home, barn, and pastures are full, Pet of the Day aims to
bring a few minutes of joy into your life each day. Every day we
present a new pet photo and story to try to illustrate how animals
enrich the lives of people around the world.
Tell the world about your pet!
We know your pet is special,
now you can let the whole world know, too. It's free! Each day we
select one pet to be honored. All pets are eligible: birds, bunnies,
ferrets, fish, gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, horses, iguanas,
lizards, mice, ponies, snakes, turtles, and more. Dogs are featured
on our website dedicated just to dogs called
Dog of the Day. Cats are
featured on Cat of the Day.
If your pet is selected, we will let you know in advance which day
will be your pet's special day. To find out how your pet could be the
Pet of the Day, visit the "Nominate Your
Pet" section.
Who visits Pet of the Day?
Although this website is located in
the United States and most of our visitors are from the U.S., our visitors
