Prayers for a miracle. I do believe. I've seen them. Hugs to you and Raven.
I replied to the thread Vela started, too, Jess...but I wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you. And praying for the best possible scenario for young Raven.
Just got back from the vet. They did not get all the cancer, and it is beginning go grow back already. Pathology told him it would not be able to be excised, it is too deep. He is calling the University of MN to find out what our options are, but it will have to be something radical in order to stop it from metastasizing if she is to have a chance. Best case I am hoping for is if they think radiation will be effective. He also said we may have to remove part of her jaw.
My whole body feels sick and numb. God help us through this please.
OH! Poor Raven :( And Poor You :(
Will they do the surgery & then the radiation treatments? I do hope
they can stop the spread of the disease. Raven will always be a beautiful
baby no matter what her mouth looks like.I will pray for strength for you
Jess, and for the Doctors too. (((hugs)))
I know there is nothing I can say to make this better for you. :(

I had completely forgot about a dog I grew up with, named Pooter. She was my neighbor's dog, rescued from a young age like Raven. Pooter developed the same sort of Cancer that Raven has, almost in the same spot, too. It's blowing my mind right now because it's so bizzare that it's such a similar situation. I had forgotten about it until now.
Pooter was around 8-9 years old when the tumor began growing and was fed horrible food. The vet said she'd probably be gone within the next year because of the cancer. Pooter lived to be 16 YEARS OLD.
Now, if Pooter did it, so can Raven!
Kay, your post brings tears to my eyes. What a lovely story to share right now.
YES RAVEN! You are far too young and you can do this!
A great story, Kay! A good reminder that just cause "they" say so, doesn't mean it's so.
((((hugs))) to you and Raven. Treatments have come a long way, and it seems like your vet wants to pool all his resources to give her the best chance. Raven doesn't realize she's sick, so she's going to keep going one day at a time, giving all the love she has to you. Love is an amazing healing force. Please know your PT friends will be praying for her and sending you both loving vibes.
Great story Kay. That's the way we all need to think to get this girl through this. Everybody please keep praying as hard as you can for Raven, Jess, and the T's. With our constant prayers, we can help bring them through.
She's young and she's strong enough to fight this off. Come on Raven girl!! Get better sweetheart. Your loving Mom, brother, and sister, need you! All of us here at PT need you too.

I am so sorry about all this. It just stinks.
{{hugs to you both}}
I don't know what to say, except that you both are in our thoughts and prayers.
:( We're all hoping that she'll respond to the radiation and that the cancer will not metastasize and go away forever!!
Cancer treatments are so advanced these days; I'm sure Raven will make it through brighter and stronger than ever before! *hugs to you and Raven*
I'm so sorry to hear this latest update. :( We all love your sweet Raven and we're praying for her.
I am heartbroken over this. I'm so very sorry. Raven's age will be in her favor. Please don't give up. We will all be here for you. I'm really at a loss for words. Please contact me if you ever need to talk.
