Talking need help with my grandfathers dogs behavior

So well my grandpops dogs name is Whitey. He is a bichon freeze. He is about two years old now. He is a very hyper dog. He will bite your feet and play with you a lot. But sometimes he gets out of hand. Is it cause he not neutured yet is that why. But he does way much more. I am just wondering why he is doing this so I can help my grandfather cause he has a hard time chasing him around cause he is 86 year old man.

    Thank youuu!

He shouldn't chase him around, that would just make him worse. It would make him think he was joining in the game.

Pups can get a bit hyper but they calm down if you are calm. Dogs that live in hyper families full of hyper kids are often hyper themselves but dogs who live in a calm quiet atmosphere are often a lot more calm in nature too. Obviously, this takes a little time and the dog needs to mature a bit more but getting angry and shouting, chasing them around, that just fuels the behaviour.
Dogs are not our whole lives but they make our lives whole.

Neutering will help calm a dog, and also the dog will have a longer life too. But I agree staying calm will help. Maybe you can help your grandpa my taking the dog for long walks or playing outside with the dog.
Thanks so much Ashley for the siggy!

I agree. If you get up and chase them around, dogs will think it's a game. So then they will do it more often. I also think neutering him will help too.
    Good luck!
Thank you so much for my siggy, kittycats_delight!

I used to babysit a Bichon. They are a hyper dog in general, but are as loving as they are hyper. Just have patience; and don't chase him.
    Too many pets? What's that?
