Beautiful Tortie Lady Annie!
Dearest Annie, you are absolutely gorgeous! You're an utterly stunning Tortie kitty, with thick, fluffy trademark brown and orange fur that looks so very soft. And what a sweet face you have, nice and round with those lovely big pale-green eyes. Thank you for sharing those great photos with us! You're so cute and look so comfortable there, and the same with your dear big sister Layla. I wish I could reach through the screen to your home and pet you both! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Meowmie and her boyfriend will pet you both for me .
What a terrific story you have to tell! You're the first pet that your dear Meowmie has ever had of her very own. When she first moved out to her own place, a co-worker of hers had kittens to give away. You were the last one that hadn't already been promised, and Meowmie-to-be fell in love with you before she even met you! You were very scared when she and her boyfriend first picked you up. When you got home you hid under her bedside table, and you curled up and went to sleep there. She let you hide until you felt safe, and then that night you hopped into bed with her and curled up to go to sleep! Since then, you've grown to love both her and her boyfriend.
What a delightful Purrrsonality you have! You're the sweetest cat, who never stops purring. You're definitely Meowmie's baby, and you love being held by her, even when she takes you outside for some fresh air. (I'm glad to learn that you are an inside kitty, much safer for you.) You love to sit by your dear Purrrents and be near Meowmie. You trust them completely and know they would never harm you. You've never scratched or bitten either of them on purpose. You and they and Layla all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Annie, on being chosen Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Layla and Meowmie and boyfriend and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
