Another horrible abuse case... :( 17 year old yorkie dead.

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) -- A man was arrested on charges of killing his neighbor's 17-year-old dog by place-kicking it like a football.

Chad Daniel Crawford, 23, was charged with cruelty to animals and vandalism Tuesday in the death of Gizmo, a 2-pound miniature Yorkshire terrier. Crawford was freed on $25,000 bail.

Jalani Lewis said he was in his apartment complex when he saw one of three men holding the dog like a football and then saw Crawford kick the animal.

Lewis said the dog flew through the air in a high arc, hit the pavement and rolled under a parked car. The dog was apparently dead when it hit the ground and the men were laughing, Lewis said.

Crawford said the accusations were false but declined further comment.

This poor dog...and the dog's poor family.....I can't put proper words to my feelings....

I think the writer of this story got it completely wrong.

    Men? UM, no.. FOOLS.

Kicking a dog is one thing, but then laughing about it is another. I think all three of the fools should stay in jail, either that or get a giant catapault of some sort and reinact what the did to the poor dog.

What is it with men and boys using poor defenseless animals as footballs? I know that story all to well, except with a different animal as a football.

I seen this on the news tonight, I thought that was just horrible! It was such a cute little Yorkie too. The cutest little face.

I'm sure if given the time and free reign I could find some uses for three human footballs in our readiness training.......send 'em up here to FT Drum...
