Within a 3 mile stretch on the way to work, I had near misses with:
1. A wild turkey
2. A doe and fawn
3. An unidentified bird
4. A bunny!
Looks like the wildlife had a busy commute, too.

Oh my goodness, you work in (or near) an enchanted forrest! LOL
This morning on my way to work I saw a squirrel in the middle of the road. There was a car coming toward me so of course I slowed down. And of course the other car didn't. I was so scared I was going to see the squirrel get hit by the other car. But luckily at the last second he turned back around and ran in front of me for the safety of the side of the road. So I gently applied my brakes and missed him. Whew!
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.
Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

I stopped to pick up an Eastern Box Turtle to get him out of the street this morning! Maybe it's something in the air today!
GO RAVENS!!
I hate the "squirrel in the middle of the road" game.
They see a car coming, so they run into the road and stop in the middle. You know that they are going to make a mad dash for safety as the car gets closer, but so unpredictable as to which way they will go. I gave up trying to outguess them, since I was almost always wrong. It was like playing Russian Roulette! Now I just slow down as much as possible and give him as much space possible for a dash to safety, and hope he doesn't encounter a car coming in the opposite direction.

Ecclesiastes 3:1The clock of life is wound but once and no man has the power
To know just when the hands will stop - on what day, or what hour.
Now is the only time you have, so live it with a will -
Don't wait until tomorrow - the hands may then be still.
