    Thursday's 109 - It's Summertime....

    June......it's the month of the longest day of the year and as far as I'm concerned, the start of Summer, and since some of us are gearing up for the big trip to LA, here's a drink in Gini's honour. (since she likes rum.....)

    Naranjita

    i n g r e d i e n t s
    1 ounce light Puerto Rican rum
    2-3 ounce ginger ale
    1 ounce orange juice
    orange slices for garnish
    carambola (star fruit) for garnish


    h o w t o m i x
    Combine all ingredients, pour over ice in a highball glass and garnish with orange slices and star fruit.

    Serving glass: Highball glasses

    I'm going out back to hose down the patio furniture and get it ready for the partee. After that, I'll make some hot crab dip to get us started.

    Can someone please give that jukebox a kickstart and get this Summer partee rolling.

    I so totally agree with your Grandmother Slick, wise woman. Yes Gini does like rum. Of course she likes apple-tinis too. Of course she likes white wine too. Of courjeu48ty945847 *sorry, someone just threw a shoe at me* OUCH!

    You would really believe it's summer if you were down here. It's humid as hell. So, lets make sure to have plenty of ice in those drinks. I've also got some cold watermellon sliced and ready to eat. Sounds like it will be a wonderful party.

    Slick, I can use a couple of those drinks! For some strange reason the boss still thinks I'm young. He thinks I can cut grass for eight hours straight. I'm pooped!

    Noooo!!! Please, no more rabbits....of any color! Two of my roses have just a teeny tiny hint of a bud on them and it would be sooo nice if that bud did not turn into a certain uppy eared critter's dinner.
