    My mum's new dog.

Last year my mum's dog died of cancer then this year her husband also doed of cancer.

She really needed a new companion.

After some time of searching she has found a yorkshire terrier at a pound.

She has called him Sam and he arrives at my house tomorrow, I am having him groomed and microchipped for her etc. Then next weekend I start the journey (300 miles to my mum's houses) with him.

He was a stray. He was kept under a caravan by gypsys.

Here are his pictures, I haven't yet met him.

Congrats to Mum!! Sam is a cutie! You're a good daughter to give her (and him) such a great gift. Let us know how it goes.

Gypsies?!?! Didn't know there were still gypsies or that they still traveled by caravan!

What a cutie pie! Does your Mum have a name picked out for him yet?

He looked very tiny next to the bowls in the 1st 2 pics, but then in the 3rd pic he looks more like the "normal" Yorkie size.

I'm sure he'll make a great companion for your Mum once he's properly trained, as I'm sure the gypsies didn't train him at all.

Yes, they still exsist. I think they are called travellers now, but the same difference.

Thank you, he is called Sam.

I'm so happy to hear that! If more people spent some time searching shelters, and less time buying from bad breeders, all dogs would have better lives! Congratulations to your mom on making a wise and humane choice!

I think they are called travellers now, but the same difference.
They are in the US, as well.

Sam is a cutie pie. I like that name too. I'd sure like to
see him after he's been groomed. I hope you & Sam have a
safe trip to your Mother's house. He should be a lot of company
    for her. Good luck.
