Dearest Bailey, you are absolutely stunning! What a beautiful mature lady you are, indeed! That fluffy grey fur is so pretty and looks so soft, and you have the sweetest face with that matching grey nose and those lovely big golden eyes. You indeed look like there's some Russian Blue heritage there! Thank you for sharing all those great photos with us. They certainly show off your beauty and your sweet spirit! I wish I could reach through the screen and over to Colorado to pet you. I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Meowmie will pet you for me .
What a terrific story you have to tell! You are quite a well-traveled lady, aren't you. You were found as a kitten in North Carolina in 2002, and you've been with your dear Purrrsons ever since. You've moved with them to Arizona, Montana, Italy, Texas, California, Illinois, and finally Colorado, courtesy of the USAF. You survived a rattlesnake bite in 2018, even showing off your hunting skills the next year!
You have the most delightful Purrrsonality! You really live by the slogan "You're only as young as you feel!" You've slowed down some since 2017, and you have hyperthyroidism and kidney decline. You're on special medication and special food, but as your vet tells your Purrrsons, if she didn't know you're 19, she wouldn't be able to tell! You are the last of the three your Meowmie and Dad had before they had human-children. Your sister died in 2018, also at age 19. Meowmie can't sing your praises enough! You're her baby, and she is doing everything she can for you in the time you have together. You love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Bailey, on being chosen Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Meowmie and Dad and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats. We know your dear sibling Angels are rejoicing with you at the Rainbow Bridge!
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
