that i own a cat
Great photo, Edwina!
Marvelous Haiku, Richard!
Such talent abounds here in Pet Talk! What a treat.
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)

my cat is my friend
until he decides to knock
stuff off of the shelf
cold morning warm cat
sleeping on top of my feet
can life be better?
i would rather clean
10 litterboxes than to
deal with mean people
my cat is pure white
which makes it easy to tell
when he gets dirty
Richard you're great. I like especially the last one. I will try some this weekend. I feel I just cannot do it in between... (especially not in a foreign language)
Edwina is just enjoying the weekend comics. She could not possibly be disturbing your reading . She knows the best part of the newspaper. She has that "why are you disturbing my reading" look on her face.
OMG! These were great and so true!! I especially liked the 2nd one.Originally posted by RICHARD

You go Richard! These are great! I bet we could take all the heartwarming stories and all of the poetry and make a Best of Pet Talk stories and poems book. I think it would be a good seller for all those pet-loving people out there!
Have you ever submitted anything to Pet Warmers Richard?
For Gabe, in the thread about his first Vermont snow:
What is that cold stuff?
Yes, I've luxurious fur
But I'm not stupid!
What evil lurks there?
Frozen, white, wet on my paws ...
Quick! Shut the porch door!
Oh you nasty folk
Laughing at feline distress ...
I shed on you all.
six thirty p.m.
time for me to wake up and
wait for you at door
----

----
