Thread: I'm Really Worried About Mama Kitty

  1. #46
Hindsight is always 20/20, Liz. Mama Kitty is now at peace and living the good life. We are the ones who are left w/an empty space. Try to take comfort in knowing that all is well w/Mama. RIP, sweet girl and peace to you, Liz.
    Blessings,
    Mary

That's just it, Mama brought her babies ,one by one, into my garage
herself. That's how much she trusted me & I feel I let her down at the
end when she needed me. I shoud have refused the chest xray because
the Vet said she couldn't sedate her because of the fluid in her lungs.

Baby Kitty has not left the garage all morning. I've been acting all
cheery voiced when I went out to her this morning. It is so hard not
to cry. I can barely look Baby in the face.

It might take a little time, Liz. My Boo Bear grieved for Pidgie when she died but they were together for 18 years. He's doing better now and Baby Kitty will, too. Just give her lots of lovin' and special time and slowly but surely she'll recover. We read much more into it sometimes, I think, than they're actually experiencing.
    Blessings,
    Mary

No, you did not let her down. You were doing everything you could to help her, and it turned out that she was just too ill. There's no way you could have known what would happen.

I'm so sorry that she had to leave you. She was such a beautiful girl.

Mama kitty brought her babies to you because she knew she could trust you to take care of them for her. I think she may have known she wouldn't have long with them. It was a gift of love for them and for you.

You did all you could for her. She will still watch over you and baby.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Don't beat yourself up - cats mask their illnesses so well. You did the best you could for her at the time. She's at peace now.

My Mitzi never grew too big either - don't know if she was stunted or because of a hard early life. At 8 months, my Marbles is bigger than Mitzi ever was full grown.

I am so very sorry. My very deepest sympathy that Mama Kitty left to become an Angel. Remember, she is with you always.

Rest in peace, Mama Kitty. You and your Meowmie both did good, and Baby Kitty is safe and well.

For Mama Kitty , Love you sweetheart.

    Solace
From the silence of your pain I heard my name
and on the wings of light I have come
to see the sadness in your eyes
    that cry without tears

Can you see me, I am here
I will always be near you
    to calm your shattered heart
and to make you smile at the memories

Do you feel me, perhaps a soft brush of fur
You ache to believe it's real
but you are afraid to hope
You brush away a strand of hair
    But it was I, whispering.....

I am only here for but a moment
    The silver thread gently quivers
I will leave behind my love in a dream
When you awaken, and without really knowing why

Your heart will know at last
That it is all right, for now
    to say good-bye

I got chills when I read that Mama Kitty came down from the rafters and went right up to you. She knew she needed help, and you were the one who could help her. No doubt in my mind, that she loved you very much. Sleep softly, dear Mama Kitty...

Big time LES over here. You did all you could. My condolances.

    RIP dear Mama.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

I miss Mama Kitty every day. I haven't told my family about her
death yet. I'm waiting till I can say it without crying. That'll be awhile.

Baby kitty is doing ok. She still hasn't left the garage, but seems happy
    otherwise.

Tell them, they'll support you, and you need it.

The crying does take a while for those we love. Peace.
