Slick I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of your amazing boy, and so sorry that I didn't see this thread until just now. He was stunning and his eyes were just oozing with love. He was a loved boy, and I can tell a very loving boy. I hope your broken heart is beginning to mend. Losing a heart animal is almost more then our hearts can take sometimes, but we make it through and learn to love again, but we never forget.

Terribly belated hugs go out to you now.

I was a long time volunteer for my local Humane Society and through that volunteer work I met a lovely lady named Dolores - we called her the kitten lady. She was the one who would always take in the kittens, rear them and let them go to furever homes. She lived so close to me that I could almost spit on to her balconey. Just before Christmas I heard that she passed away from bone cancer and her five cats are looking for their second furever homes. There is one cat by the name of "Max" and he is a MH red orangie boy - extremely friendly I'm told. Hmmmm, could this be a sign??
I'm so sorry to hear that this wonderful lady has now passed on but I do see this as a sign from Max. Like Candace said, maybe you could adopt 2 of these kitties. Good luck.

My Mac has told me, in his own kitty way, that he wants me to find another rescue kitty like himself when he passes. There are so many, cold, scared, ones out there that need a loving home. Do it in Max's name. He will be smiling down on you, I'm sure.

Slick, I'm very sorry that I didn't see this earlier! I'm very sorry that you have lost your heart kitty!

I just looked at the pictures you posted, and the feeling I got from looking into his face was "yes, this sweet boy is ready to go..." Max was blessed with a long life full of love, but I know, we're never ready for this!

    R.I.P. sweet Max!

    Unhappy

I'm so very sorry to hear this sad news, Slick.

Maybe not right now, but some day it will be a comfort to you to know that Max led a wonderful life because of you. He knew it and returned your love with purrs and kissies. He knew he could trust you to do the right thing for him when his time came, and that's why he let you know so clearly when the time was here.

I know there are so few words that can console at a time like this, so I will just offer heartfelt {{hugs}}}.

RIP dear Max. You were greatly treasured and are dearly missed.

My sweet Max: It was a month today that I sent you off to a peaceful rest at the RB. You have no idea how much I miss you, especially at night when I rest my left hand on your empty pillow. I did some laundry yesterday and hung up one of my shirts to dry and what did I find??? A couple of your very long cat hairs staring at me in the face. I lost it completely.

I have hand painted a special urn for you and I hope you like it. The light blue matches the colour of your eyes and I have ordered a special necklace from Glacier that contains a bit of your ashes so a part of you will be with me wherever I go.

When you see Moo Shoo and Ash, be kind to them and show them where the sweetest grasses are. I know you didn't much care for other felines while here on earth but the RB is different. You can all get along and play together.

I love you little "fluff butt" and can't wait until I see you again.

Slick, how did I miss this? I guess I was too wrapped up dealing with the shock of Mitzi's bone cancer. I'm SO sorry you've lost Max. I'm sure Mitzi and Mishi are showing him the fun stuff at the Bridge/

P.S. Sounds like Max is steering another kitty your way .... the same way Mitzi led me to Marbles

    Dear Slick;

I am so very sorry to read that your beloved Max has passed on. You will still have tears as time goes by, but you will also have smiles when you think of one of his little antics that made you laugh.

Even though it hurts like heck to lose one of our beloved pets, we just have to be thankful of the times we had with our little furry friends and keep reminding ourselves how much richer our lives were to have them.

He was such a gorgeous cat and will be sorely missed.

Rest in Peace dear Max and have fun up on the RB.

Dear Max: I can't believe it's been a whole year since I let you go and I miss you every day. Sometimes I feel a kitty jumping on the bed and I think it's Merlin but when I get up I find him sleeping on the couch. Are you visiting me?

Even though I have opened up my heart to a new kitty who loves me just as much as you did, you still remain my kitty.

Hope you are having fun up there and I will see when my time is up. RIP Max.

My sympathy to you on this sad but memory-filled anniversary.

I'm sure that is Max jumping on the bed with you!

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

I have no doubt that your wonderful purry boy is visiting you! He is just keeping an eye on you, and making sure that you are behaving yourself!
