    "Play With Matches" (20 pictures)

Instead of being productive this weekend and getting ahead in my classes, I took out the neglected camera and had a little bit of fun.

The inspiration for this set of pictures was a match box that I got from an event. The box says 'play with matches' and I thought it'd make for a pretty neat photoshoot. I also found a youtube video on how to make a house using matches and was excited for the challege. Challenge it was, and it took me 4 tries and waaaayy too much time! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

    Thanks you two!

Technically I'm not even allowed to have the matches in my dorm room because it's a fire hazard, but I'm planning on taking the house out to burn within the week and I'll take pictures then!

No glue or anything! Trust me, it took a lot of patience, which sometimes I lack.

I started at 4:00pm on Saturday. First one fell apart in a half hour. Tried again, second one fell apart in about a half hour at the same point. Tried again. Third one was going smoothly, and I think I got overconfident and it started falling apart. I got up, walked around, sat back down to try and fix it...got frustrated so started walking aroud again. It was 6:30 at this point, I ended up throwing it down and breaking it completely. I called my mom and she laughed at me, I decided to give up for the night.

Sunday I sat down and actually had this one completely done in about an hour! I was so excited! I'm actually surprised at how sturdy it is. I want to see how many houses I can build with my 500 matches!

Oh my gosh, I actually think I want to try this.
Wait, what am I thinking? A certain little dilute thing will probably not let me. She'd be right in the middle of it playing with the matches. And I couldn't allow a 9 month old to play with matches.

Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!
