    R.I.P. "DonnaDWM"

The Earth lost a true Angel this morning ... A friend to every human and animal, Donna Mayes, a.k.a. "DonnaDWN" on this site. A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor and friend. She wanted to help every human and animal in need and remained humble and down-to-Earth. She inspired everyone who knew her to be a kinder, more compassionate person. She prayed for every person and animal struggling physically or emotionally. She taught us what "Pay It Forward" meant and we will do that in Donna's name and memory.

Donna adopted/rescued MANY, MANY animals (big and small) and most were seniors with disabilities: Dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, gerbils, hamsters, mice.

Today, Donna is reunited with her wonderful Dad, whom she loved and missed so much, and her BFF brother Dave, who gave up his amazing career to take care of their mother at home for years until her death, then Dave passed away shortly thereafter and was cheated out of a life of is own.

God Bless Donna in Heaven. Thank you for everything. Everyone is a better person for having known you. We will miss you forever.

    Love,

I'm so sorry to learn about Donna. What a good, kind, wonderful person she was, and what a wonderful life she shared with so many, of so many species. She is home in Heaven now, with her beloved dad and mother and BFF brother Dave and so many, many Animal Angels.

My deepest sympathy to Donna's family and friends and all who know her and love her and grieve her. May your precious memories and keepsakes help to bring you comfort.

I just imagine the joyful reunion at the Rainbow Bridge, so many animals, big and small, running to greet her.
I am sure the Pet Talkers who are up there already also welcome her with open arms.

We will miss her terribly, she was such a lovely human and member of Pet Talk.

    Sincere Condolences

I'm so, so sorry to hear this, CavyMom. I never had the honor of knowing Donna personally, but from her postings here alone it was clear what a kind and caring soul she was, loving animals as she did, be they furry, feathered, finned or skinned; all creatures great and small. Every day I looked forward to reading her replies on the honored pets, and will miss her presence greatly. My sincere condolences to her family and friends, to all who knew and loved her, whose lives she touched so profoundly, including the animals.Rest easy now, dear Donna. I know a joyful day awaits as you and your beloved mother and father, BFF brother Dave and so many animal angels are reunited.Sandra~
