    High School is over.

It feels very strange, very strange indeed. I have been waiting for quite a while to be able to say that but now that it's true, I don't know what to do with myself!

Well, yes, I know what I'm doing this fall and I have a general idea of this summer, but tomorrow I don't have anything to do until dog training class at 7 pm!

C'mon over! I've got plenty to keep ya busy! Seriously, enjoy it. Time will come soon enough when you'll be telling us that you don't have enough hours in the day.
    Blessings,

Congratulations on finishing High School! That's something to be proud of. What about getting a summer job? Or volunteering somewhere?

When I've had some down time I used to love to go to the local SPCA or humane society and walk the dogs (I still do but now I can only do it occasionally on weekends)

So, where are you going to college and what do you want to study? I could see you in biology, sociology, or, of course, veterinary medicine.

Cherish it! I wish I had taken a break after highschool. Now I barely have time to sleep.

Over, all ready? High school around here doesn't end till June 26th. My Nephew is getting out earlier cause he is graduating in a couple of weeks.

Did you get any cool high school graduation presents? Maybe you can give me an idea as to what I can get my Nephew for graduation. What do high school graduates want (besides money).

    Congratulations btw!

Thanks guys. I'll be calling around at work to see if I can take some other people's shifts. Also, my mom's going to dig out her old sewing machine and show me how to use it. There are several costumes that I want to make.

I went through the ceremony but I don't get my diploma until I finish one pesky little summer school course. I need a gym credit so I'm going to be an assistant to my step-father, who is the fencing coach at another local high school.

From my parents, I received entry into my very first real horse show, something I've wanted to do since I started riding back in 2001. I'll be riding my trainer's horse. For my graduation "party" some family and a close friend went to Arlington Racecourse, it was great, I have pictures I should post.
From the rest of my family I received checks, which will probably go towards another show, a road trip, or will be saved.

In August I am either going to Mackinac Island with my family, or to Terminus (or at least Wrock out Chicago) I family usually gathers at the Grand Hotel about once every 10 years, I can't really remember the last time since I was so young. Unfortunately I found out about Terminus in September 2007 and my grandparents had already made the reservations. We still don't know what I'll be doing.

In mid- late August I am packing up and moving to Ames, Iowa. My dad and step-mom have a two-flat and only the animals live in the first floor apartment, so that one will be mine. I'll be attending DMACC part time and working for at least a year. I'm going to try and become a working student at a barn, meaning I work in exchange for free lessons on nice horses. After that my options are to stay for another, or transfer to ISU for an undergraduate degree in either Animal Genetics or Zoology, or take a year at University of Alaska at Fairbanks which I have actually filled out an application for but not sent in. I am very interested in their Wildlife Biology and Alaska Native Studies.

I bet that was a little more than you cared to know!
