We fed Dudley low fat Exclusive for a year and he went from 106 pounds to 61 pounds!! He also went from hardly walking to running in the backyard at the age of 11!! I can't say enough good about that food. We didn't even have an exercise routine. Good luck.

As far as human weight loss, be sure to drink a lot of water and don't eat ANYTHING for at least 3 hours before you go to sleep.

As for Keegan, I know she likes tennis balls. Maybe play some fetch with her several times a week. And give her fruits and veggies for treats.

GOOD LUCK GIRLS!!!! Reece and I are doing it right along with ya. He only has to shed a couple pounds though, lucky dog!

Since I had Dixie spayed she put on some weight too! She went from 63 pounds to 76. I cut her food intake down to 3/4 cups in the morning and 3/4 cups in the evening. She get Innova. I also give her raw carrots and apples (easy on the apples) and exercise her twice a day playing frisbee. She is back down to 68 pounds and looks good.

Good Luck to both of you! I am good at working on it with the dogs. I still haven't mastered getting the extra weight off of myself though so I can't offer any help there.

    Thanks everyone!!
Yea I am glad that I gave Keegan fruits and veggies as a baby so it isn't a whole new ball game.
And I hope to get her out and play with her alot more and for walks. etc
And I have sinking feeling that when I take Kylie on the 21st, he is gonna tell me the same thing about her!!! The medicine that he gave me for her rodent's ulcer is supposed to make her gain weight so we suspected it. But now I can hear her going thru her kitty door!!

Hmmm, I was thinking that perhaps to keep Shiloh's weight down, maybe I should adopt Bandit to chase her around and play ball with.....hmmmmm

Good luck on losing the pounds!!!

I've been trying to convince myself to go jogging with Nebo in the mornings. He has no problems, it's me.

Another snack you might could give Keegan is Pup Corn. I just bought some of this to try tonight. All 3 of the dogs love it! It's a low fat/low cal snack.

    p.s. Sudilar--I think that's a great idea!

I am tring to get her down to 90lbs so she's on the thin side B/C she's starting to get arthritis in her hips

Cincy is also supposed to be on a diet. I switched her food to Reduced Calorie and she is looking really good. we were SURE she had lost weight...then Ralph took her to the vet on Christmas Eve for and ear infection and she had GAINED 2 pounds!!!
I was talking it over with our freestyle instructor as she is always trying to keep her lab's weight down for agility (Coincedence his birthday is the same month and year as Keegan and Cincy?) She said she cuts down on dry food and beefs up his meals with fiber, like green beans or pumpkin. She warned to start slow though, and let their system adjust to the higher fiber. I haven't tried it yet, but next time I go to the grocery I plan on buying some veggies
