Forest pics with a lot of snow!

I can't believe I did that, but since it's said that the snow will soon be melting (it has already started), I thought I'd better take some more pics before it's gone. And when the sun came out today (well, at least a bit), I took the risk and drove into the forest, where the streets are full of snow and ice. I knew it wasn't safe, especially since my car is old and my tyres are more than worn out, and, to make it worse, I suddenly noticed that I was almost out of gas!

But it's been worth it! My car and I made it home safe, and I was able to take some pics that have captured the fact that we had an unusual amount of snow this year. In fact, I can't even remember we had this much since my childhood days, at least not over such a long period of time...

Beautiful Pic's. Everything looks so unspoiled. Not like Urban areas where everything looks dirty so fast.
Where were these pic's taken? It looks like a place I would love to visit.

Lovely pictures! The best part is to be the first one to walk in the new fallen snow, don't you think! Unfortunately, I'm usually not up early enough. It seems you got as much snow as we did.

    Thanks for sharing.

I love the pictures in which the blue sky came through. Our snow is going again- but it was all gone 2 weeks ago and then there came new snow- lots of new snow. Until end March we can't be sure it will come back.

What beautiful photographs! Thank you, Kirsten.

And more actual-color photographs that look more like sepia-toned black and white! How lovely that must be to walk around in!

    The pictures are lovely.
I love photographing in the snow, too....But I seriously wish the storm headed my way was headed elsewhere. Not looking forward to 8+ inches of snow and 40+mph wind gusts Saturday. This will be the 2nd major snow fall for my area, and we usually don't even have one snow fall that brings a foot or more. We had 23" before Christmas, all in one 24 hour storm.
