    Update on Zoe

I am very saddened to tell you all that Zoe passed away this morning. She was my co-worker's cat that was electrocuted about a week and a half ago. The vet thinks that Zoe had a heart attack (as a latent result of the electric shock).

Please keep my co-worker, John, and his wife, Vicki, in your thoughts and prayers. Their hearts are heavy with grief tonight.

    Thank you, my friends.

That is so sad, especially after they thought she would be ok. My, we have had some sad days on Pet Talk recently.

I will definitely remember your friends in prayer.

I am very sorry to hear of Zoe's passing. Are your friends familiar with the legend of Rainbow Bridge? It may help them some. Let them know we are thinking of them and praying for them. Thank you for trying so hard to help.
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)

It is regretable that little Zoe passed away. I know what it is like to loose favorite pets, as they are part of a family.

You asked about a heating pad that doesn't use electricity. Personally I know of none. However, I will say that electrocution is caused by too many volts in contact with the body. If one could find a heating pad that operated on 6, 12 or 24 volts, there is little in the way that any mishap could cause electrocution.
