Really, it just looks like her tooth is missing. Like I said, I had looked at pictures of similar surgeries and the results looked horrendous.

Raven's surgeon did a great job. Is there anyway we can send your vet & the surgeon some thank you notes?

Welcome home, sweet beautiful Raven! I am just so glad she is doing well, Jess. She couldn't have asked for a better home than with you, Tasha, and Tommy. give the sweet girl a kiss for me, please. and it does like she is just missing her tooth. the vet did a good job. and that's a good idea for the thank you notes for Raven's surgeon, Kay.

WOW! Raven's mouth looks so much better than I expected! She looks great and still is beautiful! My Cody lost a top canine and seriously. nobody seemed to notice and he ate just fine after a week. Raven's gonna love her yummy meals! I love that her 2 furry nurses are taking good care of her too! We love you Raven and Jess!

The surgeon actually isn't a part of my vet's office, he was called in as a consultant type basis, and he charged my vet's office (which of course we paid as part of the cost). I never met or spoke with him, but my vet referred to him as "Cal" and told me a bit about him and how he taught surgery many years at the University of Minnesota. He did the surgery there in my vet's office. My vet, Dr. Nielson, said he could have tried the surgery but he is not familiar with it like Cal is and he was not going to go experimenting.

She's been enjoying her yummy food but doesn't appreciate having the area flushed with a syringe afterwards. She always gives me this look like "was that really necessary?"

I probably mentioned it but her first recheck is Friday morning this week. Otherwise I may be quiet for awhile as I desperately need to get to catching up on work now! I do still have that fear of seeing it come back, but I have more of a feeling this time that won't happen.

She looks awesome! I can't believe what a clean job they did! Amazing. It looks like the surgery was a success, let's hope it stays that way! Pretty Raven, I'm glad she's back home. Now, get to work, Jess.

Hello, k9soul, Tash, Tommy and Raven ... just checking in on you (and yes, Raven, sorry but the mouth rinse was really necessary - that way you get a big thumbs-up at your recheck appointment this week, and everything heals up really nicely with no problems)
