Just make yourself at home, Daisy...pics

The scene at my gate at some point every day. Daisy is always there at some point waiting to be let in.

Since she fits in like she lived here(better than some of the dogs that do live here, actually!), I always oblige her and open the gate. She can be noisy, but she's never caused me any real trouble.

She must have a bit of husky in her, like most of them she rarely goes in the doghouses, but she likes to lay on the roof!

Such a pretty girl. Just make yourself at home, Daisy!

What happens at the end of the day? Does she ask to be let out? Or do you escort her out?

She usually leaves through the back gate when I go to get Pacer and his penmates. Sometimes she spends the night. If she doesn't follow me to the gate, I don't make her leave. In the winter, if she's here late, I don't let her leave. I'd never forgive myself if the wolves got her!

That is so sweet! Do her owners ever go looking for her? Or do they just know she's at your place? LOL
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Nope, never. I assume they assume she's here. I used to call them when she was spending the night, but I don't bother anymore. Boggles my mind that they don't worry about her! I worry more when she misses a day or two than they do when she disappears for a day or two!

Mac, Heyoka and Franklin.....her best buddies

The frequent distribution of Yummy Chummies probably helps too!

Oh, she looks like such a sweetheart! No wonder you don't mind her making herself at home... she seems like the perfect guest.

Daisy reminds me of RB Shadow's lil Buddy - a 'miniature Lab' who lived at the
    horse farm behind us.

Shadow and the Lil One were good friends who played whenever Shadow was out. But
Lil One often wandered - and often wound up getting home after 'lights out'.
In the winder, that meant a cold night in the barn - and probably no empty stall
to curl up in the bedding. She'd seek refuge on our front porch.

We'd 'find' her when Shadow returned from her poddy call - instead of one dog 'sitting'
in front of the door - there'd be TWO asking to come in!

She was a good guest - she'd start out beside the BigBed (snoring softly!)
By morning, she snuck into the living room and was always happily curled up in
    the padded easy chair!

She *whined* softly when she heard her people in the barn for the morning feed -
I'd open the front door and she'd take off like a shot to get home before
    they left for work.

Sadly, she 'vanished' long before her time.

She is such a pretty girl. And I love that she knows where to go everyday. She is obviously as smart as she is pretty.
