Look at My Newest Rescue! SO Adorable!

Check out this little guy! He was found a starving stray, in the middle of nowhere in North Dakota. I'm guessing basenji/Boston terrier?? What do you all think? I just LOVE him, he's SO adorable!

    Awwww, so what's his name?
I definitely see the Basenji. Not sure of the other mix. But I'm no expert either.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

    What she said

I see the Basenji - especially after seeing one at the Dog Show earlier in the week. Not sure what else might be mixed in. Sure is a cutie

How handsome! In the 4th photo, he reminds me of a fawn, the way he is snuggled in the man's arms, lol.

    Yup, see the Basenji!

So from the photo IDs, is his name Odin?

What a cutie! Give him a snuggle for me! Is he a foster or a keeper?

Yes, I named him Odin. Odin is, among other attributes, the Norse god of travel. Thought that was appropriate, since he was found traveling. The people who found him were calling him Dakota. Um, no.

I SO wish he could be a keeper! I have wanted a basenji, and especially a brindle basenji, for decades. But, he's an adult un-neutered male, and I highly doubt he's going to want to give up his compulsive leg-lifting behavior ... especially since I already have two male dogs who are reluctant to reliquish their leg-lifting! Also, I have nine dogs ... and that's a LOT of dogs. I'm really not totally decided though. It's torturing me. I'm actually hoping Colorado basenji rescue takes him, like NOW. That will remove the decision from my hands. LOL

He's SUCH a sweet, fun dog!
