What do you feed your rodent?

seed mixes are prety poor nutrition, especially since the rats pick what they like out and leave the rest. Now, when I get some time on my hands, I'll whip up some Suebee's Mix!

1/2 to 1 lb. dry rolled oats
1 lb. puffed wheat cereal
1 lb. puffed rice cereal
1 small box Total Cereal
1/4 to 1/2 lb. roasted, unsalted soy nuts
1/2 lb dried fruits
1/2 lb dry pasta
1/4 lb sunflower seeds
1/4 lb muesli (optional)

In fact, I'm feeling rather motivated...maybe I'll pick this stuff up when I go buy stuff to make dinner tonight!

I'm not to worried about corn anymore, but I still don't give it to them all the time. I have found that the healthiest kind is from the supermarket and not dried, as it can contain mold and fungus.


Not sure how passionate I am about the Ethoxyquin issue either.... Of course I still don't give them anything with that in it though.

lol, I know what you mean. I can easily spill what they get for their regular meals, but I also give them pretty much whatever I eat when I'm eating it So they get spaghetti, lasagna, chicken, roast beef, peas, mashed potatoes, dinner foods like that...And considering I eat about 5 or 6 bowls of cereal a day, I know that they get alot of that lol
