    My new secretary

One of the perks of working from home is hiring your own help.

Pouncer is the best stress manager I could imagine. Can you hear the purring?

Look at his little face as he woke up

Doesn't his face seem to look different than a few weeks ago? Does that happen?

Ok, works done, let's play with the camera cord!

The only problem with my new secretary is that he doesn't answer the phone and refuses to take dictation. But he does help me edit a paper, so long as the mouse is moving on the screen.

I know what you mean....Edwina just left my lap (when Eddie appeared on the desk!) Such nice company....

Pouncer is the most adorable stripped thing! That little face, those trusting paws....that is a contented cat!

How do you guys get anything done with those cute & playful assistants ?

Gosh I am so envious of your jobs.

    YES, I think I can!

Oh how life would be so much less stressful if i could bring my cat to work with me!!!

Such a helpful boy! He looks so comfy.

My main assistants are Kacey, Kiri, and Cricket, who take turns sprawling across my lap and the keyboard. Lily sometimes provides a helpful critique from my shoulder.

One time many years ago shortly after I started here, my boss found that 3 kittens had been born in our storage area. I left them alone while they were real young because the mother would come and go at will (we still haven't figured out how she got in and out!). But as they got older, their eyes opened and they started moving around and playing, I'd bring them in the office with me to get them acclimated to people.

Well....needless to say I didn't get much work done. After not too long, they really liked my company. And since I was only here 8 hours out of the day and they were stuck in the storage area for the other 16 hours, they really craved my company when I finally got here. They would be all over me, and their favorite place to lay was right on my desk in the middle of the work area.

I loved it, but I also felt sad and guilty when I had to move them over to one of the chairs so I could get something done. They all eventually found good homes and I was sad to see them go, but at least I got some work done after that.

(and one of these days I'm going to dig out those pics, scan them and post them for you guys)

Oops, forgot to mention, have we told you lately how adorable Pouncer is? He is really turning into a beautiful cat, but he still has that kitten look about him. Please let him stay little for just awhile longer.....

I am home all the time and it is next to impossible to get any work done unless Cubby is sleeping. Otherwise he is next to me telling me to get off my computer by biting me or standing in front of the monitor. He wouldn't make a very good secretary.
