10/1/05 Indiana to New York Xport HELP!

I'm crossposting this from another site. I'm in Alaska and much too far away to be of any help. If you can drive a leg of this transport OR can donate towards fuel costs, please contact Barb at [email protected]. Fingers, paws and whiskers crossed that there are enough volunteers to save these babies.
    Lisa

More kittens (and a mom who lost her litter) are being saved from death row *if* Barb can get this transport filled. If you can drive a leg, please let Barb know right away at [email protected]. God bless you for your generosity!

Due to the kindness of many volunteers we were able to save a group of kitties from Death Row 2 weeks ago. The shelter called again as many are slated to die, so we offered to take a litter of 4 babies that are only five weeks old (and then 2 single babies – all alone). We have already pulled them and all will be UTD on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV and wormed. We have already found approved homes for 4 and will try to help more if we can get this filled.

If you are unable to drive, but willing to sponsor a driver by paying for their gas please contact me. This is an urgent transport. Babies are being euthanized as much as three times a week.

*We will be adding 1 kitten and 1 mom that lost her litter to the transport in Harrisburg, PA – If we can get this filled.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! ANY SIZE CAR WILL DO! PLEASE HURRY time is running out! I DESPERATELY need your help to get them to safety. PLEASE DON'T THINK SOMEONE ELSE WILL DO IT.

The rescue group is Kitty ResQ www.petfinder.org/shelters/NY413.html

Please let me know what leg(s) you could drive.

The transport was a great success. You can see photos of some of the rescued babies at this link: http://p103.ezboard.com/fpetlossfrm1...ID=18182.topic

Thanks for the update.. I couldn't help out, WAY out of my way so I didn't respond but I was watching to see how it went.. Those babies were adoreable.... I would have been tempted to just keep on driving, right on to my house with them all!!
