PJ did a fine job with D9.

    Hey, our loss?

OH, I LOVED THE CAT FOOD BEING A DRUG IN D9. I laughed, looked at the Edster and wondered how much of a fight he'd put up should it come done to feeding someone else with his food?

    Carole,

I'll look up the exchange later on, but 18 to see a movie?

Do you have matinee rates? What is a rental DVD go for?

I was in a local mart store today and they discount movies. A new movie/DVD goes for about 16-17 dollars and I have seen 3-5 year old movies being sold for around 5-9 dollars!

    I am curious.

Rented "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds & Betty White from Netflix. We watched it Saturday night... I was so sad from losing Scooter Bug that I needed something funny. Hubby and I laughed throughout this entire movie. It was really good.

I will miss you forever, my sweet Scooter Bug. You were my best friend. 9/21/1995 - 1/23/2010
Goodbye, Oreo. Gone too soon. 4/2003 - 9/12/2011.
Farewell & Godspeed, sweet Jadie Francine. You took a piece of my heart with you. 11/2002 - 8/8/2016

Yip Us film producers spent $307 million in NZ making Avatar, we the taxpayers funded 44.7 million of that, still small price to pay IMO, as i love the film industry coming here, so many films are made here now, it is awesome,we want to encourage that not discourage it.
It looks like it cost around $507 mill all up, but figures are not in yet.

60 per cent of the film comprised visual effects were created by Wellingtons Weta Digital here in NZ.

Yes Richard i guess when you do the exchange rate it might well work out less, never thought of that, we do have discount rates, on Tuesday nights, $10.00 and if you buy a special card you can get movies for that price for a year, it cost $15.00 for the card and you get a free movie, so i got one last year for my hubby's birthday, we still have not used it yet, as we don't go very often,it recently went up to $18.

Dvds are good, they rent at $4.00 per new release.

Anyhow while i am here, tossing up whether to see Its Complicated, or Did you hear about the Morgans, which is released here next week, i am a huge fan of Hugh Grant, but loath sarah Jessica Parker, anyhow if anyone can tell me if they have seen both and which one they preferred ,be helpful, i am a big fan of romantic comedy's,i gather both might fit into this category.

    UPDATE:

Did you hear about the morgans, had a really bad review, said it was rubbish, and don't waste your money on it,so that made my mind up for me.

Have just seen Its complicated, great movie, so much fun, you were right Donna, worth going to see, and i had free tickets as well, never really liked alec baldwin, but loved him in this movie and was a change to see steve martin in a different type of role, and meryl well she is always the greatest in every movie she does, yep really good entertainment, must say hubby was the only guy there though,so i guess it is more a chick flick 7/10 from me.

Temple Grandin w/Claire Danes. I always considered Claire Danes to be a yawner w/not much talent. She proved me wrong w/this part. She did a wonderful job. An HBO movie. Highly recommended.

Today's movie was "Ghosts of Girlfriends past". It was cute... not something I'll watch 20 times, but cute.

Since we were snowed in yesterday, it was a great time to watch some movies!
We watched Drag Me to Hell & Final Destination-both not bad.
The day before was the new Harry Potter & Dictrict 9. For the first time I really didn't care for Harry Potter. It was pretty boring. And District 9 wasn't quite what I thought but it wasn't bad.

Huney, Bon & Simba-missed so very much

I HATE YOU! YOU BEAT ME TO THE REVIEW!!!

Was that a rocking good movie?

I was in tears - Oops! Leaky eyed... towards the end.

I LOVE THAT kind of movie. This poor gal was talented and I loathed the way the classmates and the cattle men treated her.

I don't think I ever sat thru a Claire Danes movie before.
    -----------

I like Nick cage and saw KNOWING yesterday......Good for a afternoon viewing,.
Good Sci Fi with a little religious tone tossed in. Could have been better in getting to know who the whispering people were.

I rented The Propsal, The Invention of Lying and 500 Days of Summer this weekend.

The Proposal was pretty cute and I found it funny and charming.

Invention of Lying was a really interesting perspective on mankind - I recommend it.

500 Days made me angry and depressed - didn't like it all that much.
