Stella is a five year old Border Collie (cross) that still has lots of spunk! She loves to be with her people and is alright with other dogs. She is fine with cats too and currently lives with two. Her family is moving, and cannot bring her with them.

Stella loves kids. She also loves to run around and go for walks. She likes to have paw massages and (short) car rides. She gets car sick on longer rides, but if you give her a gravol she will be okay.

Stella's owners are worried about finding her the right home. Reason being that her pancreas does not absorb nutrients. Therefore, she needs to have daily medication two times a day (Viocase - dry pancreas powder that helps her absorb nutrients) and a special food. The Viocase is $87 and the special food (Hill's Id for Canine) is $60 for a 20lb bag, and they usually last for more than a month.

Stella cannot have treats. However, sometimes sneaky daddy gives her one on occasion! Consequently, this does result in a loose stool. It is important that Stella never gets scraps, things off the street or from the garbage as she will get an imbalance in her intestinal track and will need a round of antibiotics. This usually only happens once a year.

As long as she gets her meds and special food, she is perfectly fine!

Stella is UTD on all shots and just finished her yearly round of heartworm preventative.
