I am gong to wait until the 5th and do the American thing.

    I'll vote for the winner!

    -------------

Prop 8 here in the Land of the Setting Sun and dumbness has to do with Same Sex Marriages.

This should not even be an issue. People should be allowed to get married and be miserable with who ever the want.

Proposition 4 and proposition 8 are trying to change our constitution and both are backed by the Republican parties.

I would, too! I contributed financially to that cause and pray that it passes! California's laws/progress has a way of travelling across the country.

Don't know about Prop 4, but Prop 8 is about writing discrimination into a state constitution.

The Constitution was created to give rights to people, not take them away or prevent people from obtaining them. Gay and lesbians getting married have no impact on the success or validity of straight peoples' marriages. Every individual who finds someone they wish to spend the rest of their life with should be given equal protection, rights and responsibility under the law. The end.

I couldn't agree with you more and don't really understand why they care so much. We have had lots of nuts out with signs jumping in front of cars and they claim to be worried about the children and they drag their kids out in the rain to hold a sign for hours spewing hate...I don't get it.

There are two proposals on the Michigan ballot. One to allow the use of medicinal marijuana; the other in favor of expanding stem cell research. I voted in support of both.

The commercial that most baffles me is the one that says Prop 8 will "restore traditional marriage." Why didn't anyone tell me my "traditional marriage" needed restoring???? What happened to it?

Exactly, gay marriages have not hurt my marriage, not sure how they have harmed anybody elses.

Glad to be voting, though no idea who I'll go with locally, I'm so sick of all the local WI politicians, heck with them all, this state could be run better by one of my dogs.
