    Simba & Nala

Just visiting at my parents and took some pictures of my babies. I was a good girl this year and santa brought me an iPad! I still don't have internet at my house, but I can pick up my neighbor's WiFi so you may see more of me!

The dogs were outside when I first arrived so I got a picture of Simba running to greet me. I love this old boy. He turned 15 years old this month.

His favorite activity, taking a nap by the pool...

    Pretty Nala girl...

Hi, Simba and Nala, precious Muttlies!

Oh yeah, it's way too much fun. I'm having a hard time getting anything else done!

After a few years without a computer/Internet in my house, and doing nothing but surfin on my iPad since Christmas, I'm thinking going without was a healthier choice!

Yeah he's up there for sure. He's still doing his normal dog things, drinking, eating, pooping, etc. but he has a hard time getting up and laying down. It saddens me to think about it but I don't know if I like seeing him like this. It's something that's been on my mind a lot lately. The vets I work with say as long as he still being a normal dog not to worry about it. I just hate to see him uncomfortable, even though pain meds help him out a bit. He's my first dog and the reason I am who I am.

So good seeing them both. Simba is so sweet. Been a while since I've seen a pic. Can't believe he's 15. Dasher is 14 now. We've got some distinguished gentlemen, don't we?

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Great to see Simba and Nala. Oh how I remember them from when I first came on PT!

Blessed is the person who knows the love of an old dog.

Kay, they are absolutely precious! Those gray faces just get me! How old is Nala now?
I miss my white faced BRD so much! Brodie helped heal the break in my heart but like Simba to you, Keegan made me who I am.

I remember when Nala was still a young dog, telling me off for having the nerve to enter the dog park enclosure in Findlay! I am sure her voice can still be as booming, if she wants it to be!

Thank you everyone. As comfortable as they are at my parents house I still have a hard time leaving them when I visit. They howl every time I leave. If I'm there and walk outside without them they sit and bark until I come back inside.

Nala will be 10 in February. It's hard to think as my first baby puppy as a senior! You're right Karen, she can still be quite loud at times! Specifically if there is a squirrel on the pool enclosure. She's just as much as a goofball as she was then though, don't let her old lady face and skin tags fool ya! Still runs like a crazy goofball.
