    My inspiration

Ok, you might know by now that I work from home and have the best coworkers ever... Pouncer and Allen. I finally took the time to do a drawing of my boys and wanted to share it with all of you!!

I drew it from one of my favorite photos of them - so Pouncer's considerably smaller in the renderng than he is today.

Sorry that the quality of the photo isn't that great - for some reason I have trouble getting true shading, etc.

Ahhh, I love my boys, they truly are my favorite subjects.

Omegosh I think that sketch is fabulous!! You are an artist is that correct? I hope so - then I will not feel bad that I cannot do anything like this! Really, I think it is terrific! I recognize them easily! Great boys

What a great drawing, that is such a precious pose of those two. I am sure that it is fantastic in person.

I am with the rest, and I am in awe of artistic talents. You are really good, I on the other had have problems tracing stick people. That's OK I have things that I can do.

I wouldn't worry about it not picking up the all of the finer shadings. It is probably just a limitation of the camera and not anything that you are doing.

    Thank you for sharing.

    WOW, WOW, WOW.

That is such an outstanding drawing of Pouncer and Allen. It looks exactly like the photo.

My gosh, I didn't know you were an artist with such talent.
Hope to see more of your work.

    Beautifully done.

I would be honored if you allowed me to save it to my pictures.
    Please.

Wow, that is great. You are very talented. I would love to have a drawing of my three cats like that. I'm just so impressed, WOW!!

Does your work from home involve drawing? Are you a full time artist? Like I said, I'm just so impressed.

    Catnapper, your picture is beautiful!

Cats are great for art--beauty and grace in and of themselves PLUS beautiful work in the sketch.

Aww, gee guys, thanks! I am a full time artist and am just thrilled that you all appreciate it!!! I've been trying to get my boys done for months but haven't had the time. I really wanted to make the cats my first portrait f the year.

I mostly do babies - I myself never have had children and never will, though I have 3 stepteens. I LOVE drawing babies... both human and animal. The texture is completely different for each and I like the variety of doing one baby and then a portrait of a pet. It keeps my days interesting. There are times that I can't believe that I get to sit at home and draw all day long, and wonder why on Earth I ever spent the past ten years working 40 hours for design firms! (My previous life was that of an interior designer and I was drowning in stress and tired of feeling as if I was wasting myself.)

Thank you again! I'll post more images if you don't mind.. I have a few others to do before I can do personal ones - I'm dying to draw them in color.
