My turtle didn't live to be 9 days old

I was just given an adorable little turtle. His name was pokey, and he was so sweet. I loved him... he always seemed happy for the first couple of days, but I believe he got depressed or lonely. My dear sweet Pokey stopped eating when we got a new brand of turtle food. We got his normal kind again, and still, he refused to eat. He would lay around all day in his aquarium and he looked so sad. When I got home from a party that lasted all day long, he was in his shell, floating in the water. I was so upset when I went to his "funeral" in the backyard. He was such a loveable little turtle, and I miss him dearly. I think he died of depression... because he was so lonely. Oh Pokey, if only I would have known how lonely you were, I would have gottten you a friend. I wish I could go back in the past. Maybe then you would still be alive today. The saddest thing is... you didn't even live to be 9 days old.
