I had a second interview today, to discuss terms of employment with a fellow who owns a pool shop franchise. He owns two shops, plus another service company that he is in the process of buying. He wants me to restructure the retail side of the business. The pay isn't quite what I'm used to, to start with, but after four months, I'll get a pay rise that will be more to what I'm used to getting. Plus if the business shows significant growth, then a profit bonus scheme swings into action. It's a perfect job for me in the sense it's what I've been trained to do and what I've studied for.(analyzing a small business, & instigating a business plan). I just have to increase sales by $200K, which wont be too hard when you have a business that turns over a few million a year. I start next week.
I'd really like to thank everyone for there support over the past month or so. It has been a rather stressful time, in leaving a job that I loved, and not being able to find a suitable position elsewhere. But I'm confident I've now made the right choice, and it would have been a lot harder without my friends on Pet Talk, and just being able to smile at evryones beautiful furkids.Thanks again everyone, Pet Talk was always the one place to cheer me up, and it always worked.
