    Peggy news with new pics

I posted here about little Peggy being depressive over the arrival of the new rottie pup, Emma.

I brought some Feliway spray yesterday to help Peggy feeling more comfortable, and maybe it worked already.

Yesterday afternoon, she passed the hall in which Emma's often sleeping, and wanted to go outside. But she didn't walk into the forest but stayed in the garden and allowed me to take some pictures (below).

Today, my mother told me on the phone that Peggy joined her on her walk with the dogs. She followed them and Emma chased her on a pile of tree trunks, but Rocky, the older dog, disciplined little Emma for her actions, as if he wanted to protect Peggy. Isn't that just too cute of him?

Anyway, these are the photos I took yesterday. It's been one of my first attemps with my new cam, so please forgive me the lack of sharpness:

Beautiful pictures Kirsten. Then again, you had a beautiful model. Glad the feliway is working and thanks for posting the link to the first thread.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Beautiful pictures, Kirsten! Of course, you have a very beautiful model for starters. I'm glad she seems to be accepting the puppy more.

@Brody's Mum: Feliway are (synthetic) facial pheromones of the cat, the scent helps them feeling less scary and more comfortable!

@Gary: No, so far, there are no pictures showing Peggy and "the Girls" together. That would mean that Peggy has to come here to my place, and she's a sensitive little girl, I'm not so sure that would be a good idea.

@shais_mom: It's a Canon PowerShot S2. I still need a lot of practice with that one!

I took the ones of Peggy with the 12x optical zoom, and as you can see in the first one, the leaves in the background are sharp, but not Peggy. LOL

BTW, I saw Peggy again today, she was upstairs in her "exile". She was so happy to see me, came for affection but interrupted the cuddling session to go to her bowl to eat. She always seems so happy when you come to see her, and she even followed me down to the living room today. My mother said it was easier last night to make her walk inside, so the bach flower remedies and the feliway seem to be working. Another good thing is that the pup is now spending more time in the garden, or the kennel.

But I wish I had more time for Peggy! She always seems to be much happier when I'm around!

I'm sure with time they'll become best of friends. I always enjoy your photos! Peggy is one precious girl, and calico's are my weakness.

    Kirsten,

It is good to hear that Peggy is feeling more comfortable with the puppy. She is just a beautiful cat. I really love your photos of her; you have captured so many wonderful expressions.

You are such a terrific aunt for taking the time to be with her and help her through a confusing time. I'm sure she loves you very much.
